Service Description
With IEP Meeting Attendance, SPERO joins the parent for one IEP meeting (virtual or in person) to provide real-time advocacy support and coaching. During the meeting, SPERO helps parents: Stay grounded in the agenda and legal priorities Ask clarifying and follow-up questions when responses are unclear or incomplete Identify when decisions lack data or legal justification Navigate difficult moments with professionalism and purpose Ensure concerns and requests are clearly stated and documented Following the meeting, parents receive a written follow-up summary that includes: Key decisions made (and not made) Action items, timelines, and next steps Any compliance concerns that arose Recommendations for documentation or follow-up requests (e.g., PWN) This service is designed to balance collaboration with accountability, ensuring the meeting remains student-centered and legally sound.
